This is the pageholder for a future site dedicated to the amazing literary world created by the late Joyce Ballou Gregorian in her wonderful trilogy of books - The Broken Citadel, Castledown and The Great Wheel.
Gregorian created a dark and fantastically unique world with its own mythology, people and places and it's stunning to me that the books haven't received a much larger recognition for their extraordinary quality.
I didn't actually discover these books until just a few years ago, when I was already an adult. Although the lead character, Sibby, is just a pre-adolescent in the first book, she grows into an adult over the course of the series and as such the series seemed more adult-oriented than 'young adult' to me. But again, maybe that's just due to the age I read them.
At any rate, they have been out of print for some time, but aren't too hard to find online or at a good used bookstore.
